This was posted by Bike Pittsburgh and is an important community meeting for everyone who cares about the future of the Allegheny Riverfront in Pittsburgh. I’ll be in Detroit, but you should try to make it out if you can. Stand up and be counted whenever there’s counting, and stand up and speak when your opinion is sought out.
The URA has spent much of the past year working with stakeholders on a vision plan for the Allegheny Riverfront extending from downtown to Highland Park. They are in the final stages of the plan and our consultants have pulled together a series of recommendations related to ecology, transportation, design and market – all based on substantial analysis and community feedback. The URA wants to share these recommendations with you and hear your reactions to these recommendations before the final plan is published in May. This is a major cycling corridor, and plans and ideas are being put on the table that need your input.
The final community meeting will be held on:
Thursday, April 29th from 6:30 to 8:00 at the History Center (1212 Smallman St)
Please mark your calendars and send this invite out to your networks, or anyone who is interested in the future of the Allegheny Riverfront Corridor. You can RSVP to landrews@ura.org, but an RSVP is not necessary to attend the meeting. Any help that you can provide in getting the word out about this meeting would be greatly appreciated.
