Obama Prohibits Federal Employees from Texting While Driving
President Obama has signed an executive order to prohibit federal employees from sending text messages while driving. Driving while texting is considered one of the most dangerous forms of distracted driving. A recent study of truck drivers found the risk of a crash is twenty-three times greater while texting compared with non-distracted driving.

off course it is very good step taken by us govt, of making texting illegal and offensive during driving,it will really helps in reducing accidents

That would be wonderful if the US Government made texting while driving illegal across the board, but it’s just for employees of the federal government. Everywhere soon, I hope! It’s almost scarier than drunk driving because everyone seems to think that they are a good enough driver to manage using the phone while driving a multi-ton vehicle and attempting to pay attention to their surroundings.
